MOA haQ0 DIRECTOROF PA KS AND RECREATION CITY OF GRAPEVINE COUNTY OF TARRANT STATE OF TEXAS The City of Grapevine Parks and Recreation Board met Thursday, February 21, 1991 at 7:00 p.m. at the Grapevine Senior Citizen's Center, 421 North Church Street, Grapevine, Texas with the following members present, to -wit: Absent: Denise Gasmire Bill Martin Alex McKee Jackie Disselkoen Margaret Telford Jack Webre The following City Staff were present: Mark Mailes Robert Brunson Ray Payne Shane Wilbanks Julian Dyke David O'Briant Joe Moore The meeting was called to order by Bill Martin. The invocation was given by Denise Gasmire. Robert Brunson moved that the minutes of the January 17, 1991 meeting be approved, Jackie Disselkoen seconded. The minutes were approved. Under miscellaneous reports, Mark Mailes introduced Colleen Butterfield who is the new Recycling Coordinator for the City of Grapevine. She reported that containers will be placed in City parks for cans and glass bottles to be recycled. Under miscellaneous reports, the staff reported that the Big Bear Creek grant had been approved. Shane Wilbanks stated that the staff had worked very hard to obtain the grant. The board voiced their appreciation of all the work done by the staff on this project. Mark Mailes also reported that the Oak Grove application had been sent to the Corp of Engineers for approval. The next step will be a joint clean up with the citizens and the Parks Department. Joe Moore reported that TreeFest would be held in Heritage Park on April 20, 1991. He also stated that the City was planting a tree at the various City schools to commemorate Arbor Day in cooperation with the Grapevine Garden Club and Walmart. Under action items, the proposed citizen's survey was considered with several changes suggested. Ray Payne moved that the meeting be adjourned. Margaret Telford seconded.
