Adjournment IN ACCORDANCE WITH ARTICLE 6252-17, V.A.T.C.S., AS AMENDED By CHAPTER 227, ACTS OF THE 61st LEGISLATURE, REGULAR SESSION, 1969, THE PARKS AND RECREATION BOARD AGENDA WAS PREPARED AND POSTED ON THIS THE 10th DAY OF MAY, 1991 AT 5:00 P.M. r . 6 1 Q vo 1,0� DIR CT OF PARKS RECREATION CITY OF GRAPEVINE COUNTY OF TARRANT STATE OF TEXAS The City of Grapevine Parks and Recreation Board met Thursday, May 16, 1991 at 7:00 p.m. at the Grapevine Senior Citizen's Center, 421 North Church Street, Grapevine, Texas with the following members present, to -wit: Absent: Robert Brunson Denise Gasmire Bill Martin David O'Briant Ray Payne Margaret Telford Jackie Disselkoen Alex McKee Julian Dyke Jack Webre Shane Wilbanks was at a special City Council meeting. The following City Staff were present: Mark Mailes Joe Moore The meeting was called to order by Bill Martin. Margaret Telford gave the invocation. Robert Brunson moved that the minutes of the April 18, 1991 meeting be approved and Ray Payne seconded. The minutes were approved. Under miscellaneous business and citizen's requests, Mark Mailes reported that 43 acres had been acquired in southeast Grapevine for a park to include playing fields and playground. The Parks Department will apply to the state for a matching grant to develop this park. Mark Mailes also reported that the lease for the closed section of Oak Grove Park should be approved by July 1, 1991. Joe Moore reported that a city-wide clean up day could be arranged. Bill Martin suggested that the Oak Grove Planning Committee be involved in selecting a name for the park. Joe Moore reported that TREEfest was a success. Several sponsors took part this year. The bathhouse at Dove Park will be dedicated June 1, 1991. The pool has also been resurfaced. Swimming registration is 88% full for lessons and 100% full for swim team. The Grapevine Baseball Association provided an audit of their projected revenue and expenses for the 1991 season. There were no discussion items. Margaret Telford moved that the meeting be adjourned.
