THE OPEN SPACE COMMITTEE MEETING WAS PREPARED AND POSTED ON

The Open Space Committee for the City of Grapevine, Texas, met in
regular session on November 20, 1989 at 4: 30 P.M. , in the Council
Chambers, Room #205, 307 West Dallas Road, Grapevine, Texas, with
the following members present to-wit:
Bill Martin Mark Mailes
Ron Cook Sharron Spencer
Also present were guests Dennis Jerke, Steve Gee, and Brad Meyer,
and City Staff member, Tommy Hardy, Director of Community
Development.
CALL TO ORDER
Bill Martin, Chairman, called the meeting to order at 4: 30 P.M.

Ron Cook made a motion to approve the minutes of the June 1, 1989
meeting. Mark Mailes seconded the motion which prevailed by the
following vote:
Ayes: Martin, Cook, Mailes
Nays: None
ACTION ITEMS
GLADE CROSSING IV ADDITION
Dennis Jerke of Dannenbaum Engineering Corporation made a
presentation of a proposed park site within the Pulte Sub-
division. This sub-division is located North of Glade Road and
West of Glade Crossing III Sub-division. The proposed park site
has 0. 2 acres in floodplain, 1. 4 acres of TP&L power easement, and
1.3 acres of "normal" land for a total of 2. 9 acres. The proposal
would also include $50,000 to develop the park.
After the presentation, the Committee discussed the positive
($50,000) and the negative (close to Glade III Park) . The
proposal was re-defined to include an easement to Glade III.
A motion was made by Ron Cook and seconded by Bill Martin to have
Staff explore the availability and price of land North of the
present Glade Crossing III site.
Ayes: Cook, Mailes, Martin
Nays: None
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, on motion made by Ron Cook and
seconded by Mark Mailes, the meeting adjourned.
