S . , AS AMENDED BY CHAPTER 227 , ACES OF THE 61ST LEGISLATURE, REGULAR SESSION, 1969, THE MKS AND RECREATION BOARD AGENDA WAS PREPARED AND POSTED ON THIS THE 21ST DAY OF JANUARY, 1977 . / / l / PARKS AND-RECREATION DIRECTOR 1:00 11010 STATE OF TEXAS 5 COUNTY OF TARRANT Z CITY OF GRAPEVINE The City of Grapevine Parks and Recreation Board convened in Regular meeting at 7 : 30 P.M. , on this the 27th day of January, 1977, with the following members present, to-wit: Ron Armstrong Gennie McAferty William Shafer Larry Jobe Jim Swinney Bob Hart, Director/Parks and Recreation Ed Morley, Recreation Superintendent Bob Hart called the meeting to order. The invocation was given by William Shafer. The first order of business was the election of officers, Ron Armstrong Chairman William Shafer Vice Chairman Gennie McAferty Secretary Larry Jobe and Jim Swinney newly appointed members were introduced. Bob Hart reviewed some of the Oak Grove plans (Cable water skiing) . Hopefully this facility can be installed in March and ready for summer. All monies will go back into Oak Grove Park. Little League representatives were present and discussed the ordinances of the city and rules and regulations for alcoholic beverages, phone, traffic signs, etc. Advertising around ball park was discussed. The little league will be allowed to advertise on their uniforms and through brochures and/or programs. Little League asked permission for a donkey baseball game. They will be responsible to clean up afterwards. This will be theik fund raising project. Some games will be on Saturday if possible. Little League will play until the end of June. Grapevine will have approximately 11 teams for Little League. Representing Little League was Andy Ogg and Ron Gilbert. Dedication of Cluck Park was discussed and plans need to be made. Equipment has been ordered and is on the way. Weather permitting this saturday the cement of the basketball court will be poured and the park finished by February 26th. Dedication will be Saturday March 5th. at 2 P.M. Mrs. Cluck would like the following people present. Brother Redman Park Board City Manager and Council Rev. Karkalits Louise Watts This park is in memory of Mr. Elwood Cluck. The Masonic Lodge will be contacted to see if they would like tp participate, since Mr. Cluck was active in the lodge here. The residents of that area are very excited about the work and progress on this park. 1140, Equipment for the park is: 2 climbing apparatus swings slide merry-go-round basketball court and back stop 2 picnic units Ron Armstrong praised Bob Hart on the work he has done on the grants. Our 2 visiting Councilmen were introduced and welcomed, Larry Oliver and Charles Gideon. There being no further business Ben Swinney made a motion to adjour the meeting.
