S. , AS AMENDED BY CHAPTER 227, ACTS OF THE 61ST LEGISLATURE, REGULAR SESSION, 1969, THE PARKS AND RECREATION BOARD AGENDA WAS PREPARED AND POSTED ON THIS THE 20TH DAY OF SEPTEMBER, 1978: bIReGTO x- O f -P" ks rune Ruiter--/-; oN I I • CITY OF GRAPEVINE X COUNTY OF TARRANT STATE OF TEXAS The City of Grapevine Parks and Recreation Board convened in regular meeting at 7:30 P.M. , on this the 28th day of September, 1978, with the following members present to-wit: Ron Armstrong Tom Walker Neal Odle Fred Handy Melvin McGrue Buddy Hall Richard Stasney, Superintendent of Recreation Kevin Conklin, Director of Parks and Recreation The meeting was called to order by Ron Armstrong. The invocation was given by Melvin McGrue. Ron Armstrong entertained a motion to approve the minutes. Fred Handy so moved, and Neal Odle seconded. All present voted aye. Richard Stasney was introduced as the new Superintendent of Recreation. He presented the recreation report, stating that men's basketball, women' s volleyball, and pee wee basketball were scheduled for the fall and/or winter. Preliminary league starting dates were announced, with men's basketball beginning November 29th, women's volleyball beginning January 9th, and pee wee basketball beginning January 20th. It was announced by Kevin that the Senior Building parking lot had been paved. There was also a presentation of a written report of the Senior Citizens' program. Ron Armstrong suggested that a package on mandatory dedication 411, be presented to the Board. Buddy Hall made a motion that a study be presented to the Board, and Fred Handy seconded. The motion was passed unanimously. A parks and recreation survey that would collect citizens input was discussed. A survey will be drawn up, and presented to Board members in a few weeks. There being no further business, a motion was made to adjourn by Buddy Hall. Fred Handy seconded, and all present voted aye. The meeting was adjourned. DIRECTOR OF PARKS & RECREATION « • 'N ���
