(Itor CALL TO ORDER
Chairman Bigbie called the meeting to order.
FUND RAISING ACTIVITIES FOR DIASTER RELIEF VICTIMS THROUGH THE
AMERICAN RED CROSS PARTICIATION AT GREPEFEST
Mr. McCallum contacted the Red Cross and they agreed that GrapeFest could be an
official sanctioned collection point for Hurricane Relief Fund, during the festival hours.
This would make GrapeFest an official site for Red Cross cash collection and a portion
of GrapeFest funds will go to Red Cross for relief efforts. If approved, we would set up
2 primary sites. The City Manager's Office will put together a group of city employees to
man the two collection booths. Would hope to raise between $25,000 and $50,000.
The CVB Festival would add to the donation. A motion to designate GrapeFest as a
collection site and to accept the plan as presented was made by Ev Barnes and
seconded by Kathee Livengood. Discussion followed. Motion carried.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to come before the board; Paul Slechta made a motion
to adjourn; seconded by John Imaizumi. Motion carried.
