This letter confirms on January 16, 2024 the Historic Preservation staff approved with
conditions #CA23-79 for the property addressed 814 East Wall Street, legally described as
Block 2, Lot 2, D. E. Box Addition, City of Grapevine Texas. The following was approved on
this Certificate of Appropriateness: Exterior materials and finishes for the house as follows -
1 . Wood shutters for the exterior of the house at the windows as per the attached
drawing;
2. Wood arched front door to be custom made as per the attached photo;
3. Exterior paint color scheme: Body of the house - Benjamin Moore "Swiss Coffee
(#OC-45); Wood trim and accent for the soffit and fascia boards — Benjamin Moore
"Silver Mist #1619; Wood shutters — Benjamin Moore "Blue Heather" #1620 as per
the attached paint sample cards;
4. Roofing shingles for the house and garage: Owens Corning Oakridge Desert Tan
shingles;
5. Porch roof and dormer to be copper metal roofing;
6. Exterior gutters to be copper, with rounded gutters;
7. Rear deck material to be: Ipe Brazilian Hardwood (dark stain);
with the conditions a building permit is obtained from the Building Services Department.
An approved Certificate of Appropriateness is not an approved building permit; a
building permit As ,/ is not required. Contact the City of Grapevine's Building
Department at 817.410.3165 for fees and information regarding permits.

Good morning David!
I hope your thanksgiving was restful and filling! John and I are reaching out to get your opinion and gain approval for the
following items:
Shutters
Front door
Colors
Roofing material(s)
Gutters
We are hoping to add shutters to the windows facing the street! I will attach a picture below of our inspiration.
I have attached a picture of the front door we are hoping to get custom made for the house.
The exterior colors we are hoping to use are Benjamin Moore Swiss coffee (main color for siding), Benjamin Moore
silver mist (accent color for soffit and facia ) and then blue heather (for the proposed shutters).
For roofing materials we are wanting to do the Brava synthetic cedar shake shingle in the color natural cedar. We are also
wanting to do copper as the shed roof material.
We are hoping to do rounded copper gutters to match the proposed shed roof.
Let me know when would be a good time to meet and discuss!
