This letter confirms on February 21, 2024 the Historic Preservation Staff approved with
conditions #CA24-10 for the property addressed 317 & 319 South Main Street, legally
described as Block 1, Lot 10-11-n 3'9, City of Grapevine to the Grapevine Historic
Preservation Ordinance 91-73 (Appendix G — Grapevine Code of Ordinances), as amended,
for the following:
Front of Building:
1. Repair and paint 2 existing metal awnings;
2. Replace rotted wood and paint wooden awning over entry doors
3. Paint 2 existing entry doors and castings, color to be black;
4. Gently clean or power wash exterior stucco of building and sidewalk;
Rear of Building:
1. Repair rotten wood around back doors and window area of 317 S. Main;
2. Remove unnecessary wiring on rear wall;
3. Fill any holes in rear wall;
4. Reseal window and door
5. Repaint rear of building in existing color;
6. Repaint rear doors black;
as per the attached list provided by owner.
An approved Certificate.of Appropriateness is not an approved building permit; a
building permit is Iris not.: required. Contact the City of Grapevine's Building
Department at 817.410:3165 for fees and information regarding permits.

As the owner of 317-319 S. Main Street I am needing to renew the exterior of my
historical building. The proposed work is listed below.
Front of Building:
Repair and paint 2 existing metal awnings
Replace rotted wood and paint wooden awning over entry doors
Paint 2 existing entry doors and casings
(Current paint is faded out brown, BUT I would like return all of the above items
to the original color of black. The original inset decorative tiles on the building
front are black and I would like for all of it to coordinate.)
I would like to gently power wash the stucco to remove dirt and streaks that have
run down from the roof.
I would like to power wash the sidewalk in front of both store fronts because of
gum and other unidentifiable gunk on the sidewalk.
Rear of Building:
Replace rotten wood around door and window area of 317 S. Main
Remove unnecessary wiring hanging out of rear wall
Fill any holes in rear wall
Reseal window and door
Repaint rear of building to it's existing color
Repaint rear doors black
