SUBJECT: ADOPT -A -PARK PROGRAM
RECOMMENDATION:
The Parks & Recreation Advisory Board and staff recommend the City Council consider
approval of an Adopt -A -Park agreement with the Matthew Goldberg Family and Friends
for Dove Crossing Park. The application is attached for review.
FUNDING SOURCE:
Adopt -A -Park signage would be placed at the park. The cost of the signs is
approximately $75 and would come from the Grounds Maintenance Account 100-42205-
312-3.
BACKGROUND:
The proposed agreement is for a period of two years and requires the applicant to pick
up litter a minimum of six times per year. The Parks & Recreation Advisory Board
approved the agreement with the Matthew Goldberg Family at the July 21, 2005
meeting.

The City of Grapevine will work with the adopting group to determine the specific park
or trail to be adopted. Typical tasks include litter pickup, turf maintenance, edging,
sign repair, etc.
