HomeMy WebLinkAboutItem 07 - Adopt a Park ProgramMEMO TO: HONORABLE MAYOR AND MEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL FROM: BRUNO RUMBELOW, ACTING CITY MANAGER 0 - MEETING DATE: DECEMBER 6, 2005 SUBJECT: ADOPT -A -PARK PROGRAM RECOMMENDATION: The Parks & Recreation Advisory Board and staff recommend the City Council consider approval of an Adopt -A -Park agreement with the Grapevine High School Transition Class for Parkwood Park. The application is attached for review. FUNDING SOURCE: Adopt -A -Park signage would be placed at both ends of the project area. The cost of the signs is approximately $150 and would come from the Grounds Maintenance Account 100-42205-312-3. BACKGROUND: The proposed agreement is for a period of two years and requires the applicant to pick up litter a minimum of six times per year. The Parks & Recreation Advisory Board approved the agreement with the Grapevine High School Transition Class at the November 17, 2005 meeting.
