Approval of Minutes A motion was made to approve the January 18, 2024 meeting minutes. Motion: Robertson Second: Light Ayes: Ross, Stephens, McDowell, M usar, Fenton, Robertson, Cowans, .Light Nays: None Absent: Light Approved: 8-0 Citizen Comments None New Business The following new Adopt -An -Area agreement was reviewed: Young Men's Service League Lakes Chapter A motion was made to approve the Adopt -An -Area agreement. Motion: Musar Second: Fenton Ayes: Ross, Stephens, McDowell, Musar, Fenton, Robertson, Cowans, Light Nays: None Absent: Light Approved: 8-0 The following Adopt -An -Area renewal agreements were reviewed: Grapevine Lions Club Slechta Family Assaad Family Smith Family Grapevine Sister City Program Ken & Clydene Johnson Beverley Martin Preston Family A motion was made to approve the Adopt -An -Area agreements. Motion: Fenton Second: Cowans Ayes: Ross, Stephens, McDowell, Musar, Fenton, Robertson, Cowans, Light Nays: None Absent: Light Approved: 8-0 Presentations Staff from Grapevine Parks & Recreation and Economic Development presented a Carol of Lights and Christmas Capital of Texas recap to the board. Market Research Manager, Steven Jones, presented data analytics for the entire Christmas season as well as visitor data for events. Assistant Director Park Operations, Randy Sell, and Event Production Manager, Erin Burke, provided the board with a recap of key highlights for community events as well as the Main Street decor/installation. GCISD Student Liaison Update Avery Gaudett (GHS) was absent; therefore, no update was provided. Audrey Torres (CHHS) was absent; therefore, no update was provided. GCISD Board Liaison Kathy Spradley provided an update for the GCISD Board. Updates included a trustee tour with Dr. Janelle, Panthers in the playoffs, May bond ballet, the Career and Technical Education Board, Special Olympics, and School Resource Officer Day. Parks and Recreation Update Chris Smith provided a Parks and Recreation update. Updates included Settlers Park progress, upcoming work on Horseshoe Trail and Snakey Lane, Main Street Town Square Gazebo turf replacement, Casey's Clubhouse playground updates, and the Trinity River Authority project. Trent Kelley provided an update, which included staffing updates, The REC indoor playground art/repaint project, and The REC Aquatics Center pool replaster and sauna update.
