MOVE -IN BUILDING REQUEST MIB 03-02
Staff recommends City Council consider MIB03-02, for property located at 308 Ruth
Street, and take any necessary action.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Move -in Building Application MIB03-02 was submitted by Mr. Ronnie Smith, the property
owner. This request is to move in a single story residence which contains approximately
2,056 square feet. A variance request for a six foot encroachment into the required 30 -
foot front yard setback, and a 25 -foot variance to the lot width will be considered by the
Board of Zoning Adjustment at its October 6, 2003, meeting. A building permit
application has been submitted and reviewed by the Building Department, and an initial
inspection of the structure has been performed. The building will comply with all codes
and ordinances.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS PROVIDING FOR THE ISSUANCE OF
A PERMIT AUTHORIZING THE RELOCATION OF A
BUILDING; PROVIDING FOR A NON -TRANSFERABLE
PERMIT; PROVIDING A SITE PLAN AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, an application was filed to relocate a building on a particular tract of
land; and
WHEREAS, the building official investigated the application and determined that all
requirements of the Building Code and other applicable ordinances had been or would be
met; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager, or his designated representative, set a date for
public hearing about which proper notice was given.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1. That Move -In Building Application MIB03-02 was filed by Mr. Ronnie
Smith, to move (1) structure of approximately 2,056 square feet to 308 Ruth Street, platted
as Lot 1, Block 6, D. E. Box Addition, City of Grapevine, Tarrant County, Texas and is
hereby approved.
Section 2. That said permit is not transferable and shall apply only to the
applicant heretofore mentioned.
Section 3. That said permit be issued in accordance with the site plan attached
as Exhibit "A".
Section 4. That this resolution shall take effect from and after the date of its
passage.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS on this the 7th day of October, 2003.
