The bid tabulation is attached for review. FUNDING This purchase was budgeted under accounts; 100-42281-209-2 General Fund/Uniform Operations/Apparatus and Tools ($5,000.00); 114-44686-209-1 Special Revenue Fund/Law Enforcement/Federal Forfeiture ($21,150); 100-14108 Fleet Inventory Account ($23,000) BACKGROUND This procurement will be made in accordance with Texas Local Government Code, Chapter 252.021(a)(1) and 252.0415 (a)(b) that authorizes political subdivisions to solicit bids electronically. This procedure allows vendors to submit multiple competitive bids electronically in a sealed format until the bid closing date at which time all bids are opened and available for viewing. This bid was for the purchase of 21 emergency vehicle light bars to be installed on Police emergency equipment that will replace existing bars that are currently six to seven years old. The bid was posted on the City Internet Web Site and bids were solicited in a sealed format. Thirty-one vendors viewed the bid. Six vendors responded and three vendors submitted no -bid responses. The lowest bid was from All America Sales Corporation at a total cost of $49,095.27. This vendor met all of the required specifications required by the bid. Staff recommends approval of an award to All America Sales Corporation.
