Draft Mission Statement
The Airport Aviation Museum and Visitor Education Center's
Mission is to preserve and promote the rich aviation heritage of
the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. It will accomplish this by:
■ Preserving and displaying aviation historical artifacts
■ Establishing an active forum for community involvement
through public outreach and education programs
■ Creating community support for DFW International
Airport as it continues to serve our Region's aviation
needs
"Airports that enjoy good community support and fewer neighborhood complaints have
two things in common -- active participation in community affairs, and strong, consistent
communications. Both give the airport high visibility to the total community and airport
neighbors. The old idea held by some that an airport can keep a low profile went out as
soon as development came within earshot of the airport. " - AIRPORT Magazine
