of the agenda, your application may be scheduled to a later date.

tabled.
Any changes to a site plan (no matter how minor or major) approved with a planned
development overlay can only be approved by city council through the public hearing
process.
Any application for a change in zoning or for an amendment to the zoning ordinance shall
have, from the date of submittal, a period of four months to request and be scheduled on an
agenda before the Planning and Zoning Commission and City Council. If after said period of
four months an application has not been scheduled before the Commission and Council said
application shall be considered withdrawn, with forfeiture of all filing fees. The application,
along with the required filing fee may be resubmitted any time thereafter for reconsideration.
Delays in scheduling applications before the Planning and Zoning Commission and City
Council created by city staff shall not be considered a part of the four month period

Dear Ron:
On August 30, 2005, I met with the Historic Preservation Commission and received
approval for my property, 703 and 705 N Main St., to be considered by the city council for
"Professional Office" Zoning.
Over the last three years, extensive renovations have been done to the Historic Edward
Langley House, and the commission and I agree no changes would be made to the existing
structures, that haven't already been approved, should the property zoning change.
As a resident of this property, I have noticed a huge increase in traffic, due to the new Dove
Loop extension, and have personally witnessed five (5) accidents, including two (2) hit and
runs. One of the above mentioned accidents required the need for emergency vehicles. It
concerns me that this property would not be safe for a residential family with small children
and/or pets.
Both neighbors to the north and south of my home have no objection if I receive a zoning
change for my property. Both neighbors are commercial, KMF Company, 621 N. Main St.,
is directly next door. As a professional licensed Real Estate Broker, I feel that a zoning
change would not have any adverse economic effect on the surrounding neighborhood, as
shown with KMF Company (listed above).
In closing, we all have seen the City of Grapevine go through tremendous growth. Almost
all of Main St. is commercial, or is scheduled to go commercial, and is just a matter of time.
I would never harm the Langley Estate, and have always taken the utmost pride in preserving
this historical property and do not think this would change with the guidelines that have
been set, if the zoning is changed from residential to neighborhood commercial.
