BACKGROUND:
Bids were taken in accordance with Local Government Code Chapter 252, Subchapter
B, Section 252.021 (a) and Section 252.041 (a).
The purpose of this bid is to establish annual contract pricing for material hauling of
various types of street debris and waste resulting from street maintenance and
construction.
Bids were sent to eight vendors with six vendors responding. Rocha Trucking, Inc. was
the overall lowest bid received that met all of the requirements of the bid. Because
trucks are not always available for this service and to insure availability of services, it is
recommended that awards be made to the primary, secondary and tertiary vendors as
listed above and as shown on the bid tabulation.
Staff recommends approval.
