Any person who is not scheduled on the agenda may address the City Council under Citizen Comments or on any other agenda item by completing a Citizen Appearance Request form with the City Secretary. A member of the public may address the City Council regarding an item on the agenda either before or during the Council’s consideration of the item, upon being recognized by the Mayor or upon the consent of the City Council. Citizens will have three (3) minutes to address Council. In accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, the City Council is restricted in discussing or taking action during Citizen Comments. NEW BUSINESS 2. Consider Resolution No. 2024-007 canvassing the May 4, 2024 City Election for Mayor, City Council Place 1 and City Council Place 2, declaring the results, and taking any necessary action. STATE OF TEXAS COUNTY OF TARRANT CITY OF GRAPEVINE The City Council of the City of Grapevine, Texas met in Special Session to canvass the results of the May 4, 2024 General Election on this the 15th day of May, 2024 in the City Council Chambers, Second Floor, 200 South Main Street, with the following members present: William D. Tate Mayor Duff O’Dell Council Member Paul Slechta Council Member Leon Leal Council Member constituting a quorum required for canvassing the election results, with Mayor Pro Tem Darlene Freed and Council Members Sharron Rogers and Chris Coy being absent, and with the following members of the City Staff: Bruno Rumbelow City Manager Jennifer Hibbs Assistant City Manager Tara Brooks City Secretary Call to Order Mayor Tate called the meeting to order at 1:15 p.m. in the City Council Chambers. Item 1. Citizen Comments No one spoke during Citizen Comments. NEW BUSINESS Item 2. Consider Resolution No. 2024-007 canvassing the May 4, 2024 City Election for Mayor, City Council Place 1 and City Council Place 2, declaring the results, and taking any necessary action. City Secretary Tara Brooks reported the official results of the May 4 General Election as provided by the Tarrant County Elections Administrator. Tate duly elected as Mayor, Paul Slechta duly elected to City Council Place 1 and Sharron Rogers duly elected to City Council Place 2.
