GRAPEVINE HOUSING AUTHORITY OFFICE 131 STARR PLACE, GRAPEVINE, TEXAS CALL TO ORDER REGULAR MEETING CITIZEN COMMENTS Any person who is not scheduled on the agenda may address the Board of Commissioners under Citizen Comments or on any other agenda item by completing a Citizen Appearance Request form with the Executive Director. A member of the public may address the Board of Commissioners regarding an item on the agenda either before or during the Board's consideration of the item, upon being recognized by the Chair of the Board or upon the consent of the Board. Citizens will have 3 minutes to address the Board of Commissioners. In accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, the Board is restricted in discussing or taking action during Citizen Comments. Report of Public Housing Activity and Issues through June 24, 2024 D. Update from the Resident Advisory meeting held on June 21, 2024 NEW BUSINESS 3. Consideration of the minutes from the May 16, 2024, meeting and take any necessary action. 4. Consideration and acceptance of the April 2024 monthly financial statements and take necessary action. State of Texas County of Tarrant City of Grapevine The Board of Commissioners of the Grapevine Housing Authority met in Executive and Regular Sessions on this the 27th day of June 2024, in the Conference Room of the Grapevine Housing Authority, 131 Starr Place, with the following members present to wit: Linda Troeger Chair Bonnie McHugh Vice Chair Bruce Woodward Financial Officer Teri Rhodes -Cantu Commissioner Ron Moxom Resident Commissioner Constituting a quorum, with the following also present: Jane Everett Executive Director REGULAR MEETING Chairperson Troeger called the regular meeting to order at 4:00 p.m. Item #1 - Citizen Comments No Citizen comments submitted. Item # 2 - Reoort of the Executive Director (Informational Only) A. Rent Delinauencv and Information Sheet The Executive Director reported to the Board on the rent delinquencies, number of empty units, work orders and statistical information for the waiting list for Public Housing through June 24, 2024. B. Capital Funds Report and Work in Progress The Executive Director reported to the Board on the current Capital Funds and corresponding projects. It was also reported that the capital funds awarded to Grapevine Housing Authority for 2023 was $232,890. C. Report of Public Housinq Activity and Issues The Executive Director informed the Board HUD's office of Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity (FHEO) visited Grapevine Housing Authority June 25 — 27, 2024, to conduct a Title II and Section 504 compliance review. The Executive Director gave the Board an update of how the review went. A report will not be available for a 2-3 months. The annual picnic was postponed from May 31 st to June 71h due to weather. Everyone had a good time and plenty to eat. D. Uodate from the Resident Advisory meetings held on June 21, 2024 The residents held the annual election for the President and Vice President positions. Carol Miller and Terry Haflich were re-elected as President and Vice President, respectively. Executive Director briefed the residents of the upcoming Fair Housing visit in case they saw groups pf people on property. Dorothy Berarducci and Ricardo Ferrer won BINGO and Linda Wyatt won the $20 Wal-Mart gift card donated by the Bereans. The residents enjoyed a lunch of chicken salad, croissants, Caesar salad, grapes and brownies for dessert. NEW BUSINESS Item #3 - Consideration of the minutes from the Mav 16. 2024, meeting and take any necessary action. The Board was provided the minutes from the May 16, 2024, meeting for approval. Commissioner Moxom moved and Commissioner Rhodes -Cantu seconded to accept May 16, 2024, minutes as presented. Ayes: Troeger, McHugh, Woodward, Rhodes -Cantu and Moxom Nays: None Motion passed: 5-0 Item #4 - Consideration and acceptance of the April 2024 monthly financial statements and take necessary action The Executive Director presented the Board with an electronic copy of the April 2024 financial statements for their review. Commissioner Woodward moved and Commissioner McHugh seconded to approve the April 2024 financial statements. Ayes: Troeger, McHugh, Woodward Rhodes -Cantu, and Moxom Nays: None Motion passed: 5-0 ADJOURNMENT Commissioner Rhodes -Cantu moved and Commissioner McHugh seconded that the meeting be adjourned.
