BACKGROUND:
On September 1, 2001 the Governor signed legislation raising the formal bid limit
requirement from $15,000 to $25,000. In accordance with City Purchasing Policy three
written quotations were taken and advertisement was not required.
The purpose of this bid was to obtain competitive pricing to convert part of the present
storage area and 2 offices at the Wallis Building into one large area to accommodate
nine cubicle areas for Staff. Three written quotations were solicited. Two vendors
submitted pricing and one vendor declined to respond. The low bid was from Keltner
Construction, Inc. and met all of the specification requirements of the bid.
Staff recommends award of a contract to Keltner Construction, Inc.
