Per your request, Archcomun, LLC conducted a structural evaluation to ascertain the adequacy of
the existing structure to support the proposed equipment modifications. Our study included
reviewing documentation of existing structure and installations, observing the existing structure
and installations, reviewing proposed modifications, and determining the adequacy of the
existing structure to support proposed equipment configuration.
The existing building has a cast -in-place post -tensioned concrete structure. The upper penthouse
roof is framed with metal deck and steel bar joists on load bearing walls. Verizon's current
installations consist of an ASP steel equipment platform installed on the existing roof structure.
There are also nine antennas (three per sector), six RRH units (two per sector), and three OVP
boxes (one per sector) installed on non -penetrating ballasted antenna support frames on the upper
penthouse roof.
Verizon is proposing to install one RFS SC2-190BB microwave dish on the existing Alpha
sector antenna support frame. In addition, one Waveguide cable shall be installed in the existing
cable tray from the equipment platform to the Alpha sector.
Reference Site Modification Drawings issued by ArchComm for graphical representation and
details of proposed modifications.
Evaluation was conducted in accordance with the 2006 International Building Code and
applicable industry standards (i.e.: TIA-222-G, AISC, ACI, etc.) considering code required
design loads and load combinations for elements affected by the equipment additions. Wind
design was based on a Basic Wind Speed of 90 mph (3 -second gust), Exposure B. Our study
determined that eighteen 4"x8"x16" solid normal weight CMU blocks are required in each front
and back tray of the Alpha sector ballasted antenna support frame. Blocks shall be added as
required. Once any required ballast blocks are added, our study determined that the existing

structure is adequate to support the proposed equipment configuration inclusive of existing
equipment to remain.
Proposed equipment configuration was derived from information provided to our office by the
client. If conditions differ from those specified within this report, our office should be notified
immediately to reevaluate the structural integrity of the building structure.
The investigation does not address the structural status of framing members which are not
exposed to view and are not readily accessible for visual observation, or other areas not
mentioned in this report.

plan.
a. Provide fire lane so that no part of the exterior of building is further than 150'
access distance as a fire hose is laid from the road or fire lane.
b. If fire lane plan extends between both Wall and NW Hwy, turning radius onto
Wall is reflected at 20 ft inside radius, but be 30' inside radius.
c. If fire lane plan extends between both Wall and NW Hwy, gate across the fire
lane onto Wall must have emergency opening capability to meet the code
requirements. Manual unlocking or automatic controls to open with manual
back up and cored to fit our KNOX key system.

This letter is to verify that your Site Plan Review application SP16-17 for property located
at 1800 State Highway 26 and platted as Lot 1A, DFW Hilton was approved per the
enclosed site plan on September 22, 2016. Please find enclosed an approved site plan set
for your records.
No site plan approval shall be valid for a period longer than one (1) year from the date such
approval is issued, unless a building permit is issued and construction is actually begun
within that period, and is thereafter diligently pursued to completion or an occupancy permit
is obtained and a use commenced within that period. Approval of an application does not
authorize any work in conflict with any Codes or Ordinances of the City of Grapevine
Any changes to a site plan approved with a conditional use ora special use can only
be approved by city council through the public hearing process.
