Dear David:
We visited a few days back about a repair job I am doing on two buildings in B & D Mills
Market Center. Per our discussion, I am enclosing the Certificate of Appropriateness
Application and pictures. Also enclosed is a copy of the Building Permit Application submitted
to the city today.
Enclosed are the following:
• Certificate of Appropriateness Application
• Photographs of the Double Liquid Building and the Single Liquid Building
• Current As -Built Survey showing the locations of existing buildings in B & D Mills
Market Center. Each building in the project has a name. I have noted the locations and
the names of the buildings to be repaired, i.e. Double Liquid Building and Single Liquid
Building. To avoid confusion, I have generally delineated the addresses the city has
assigned to the property.
• Building Permit Application and related material, including one set of half size plans.
Our offices are very close, and I would be happy to show you the buildings if needed. Please
give me a call if you have questions.

This letter confirms on November 12, 2013, Historic Preservation staff approved
with conditions #CA13 -98 for the property addressed 215 West Hudgins Street,
legally described as Block 1, Lot 1, B & D Mills Market Center Addition, Grapevine,
Texas. The following was approved on this Certificate of Appropriateness:
for maintenance repairs to the structure and roof of the Double Liquid
Building and the Single Liquid Building; using wood framing, OSB decking
and salvaged or non - chemical treated corrugated metal
as per attached drawings and photographs with the condition a permit is
obtained from the Building Department.
An approved Certificate of Appropriateness is not an approved Building
Permit and a permit � 1 is not required. Contact the City of Grapevine's
Building Department at 817 -410 -3165 for fees and information regarding
permits.

Scope of Work for refurbishing historic building on the Feedmill property
In accordance with provided architectural drawings, the following will be
accomplished.
*Reinforce vertical wall studs
*Remove and replace any substandard horizontal structural members
*Provide structural support internal of the building to push and hold
collapsing side wall back into place (at or near plumb) Structural support
will be left in place to prevent further adverse deflection of the sides of the
building
*Install new roof decking on building
*Cover new roof decking with ice and water shield
*Install 1 x 4 roof purlins on to which the new roof metal will be attached
*Install roof metal provided by owner, new or salvalged. Seal holes and seams
*Remove bent bollard from exterior of building
*Provide three framed doors with hasps in existing openings
*Roof rafters will remain 2 x 6's and will be replace if found to be structurally
compromised
*Any other items called out on plans but not specifically mentioned here
*Rebuild entire north wall of two tank building
$12,000.00
*As part of the overall restoration project, replace the roof of the single tank
building to its previous condition. Customer will provide the corrugated metal.
Eiland Construction will provide labor and materials as detailed for the
proposed reroof of the two -tank building above. This estimate presumes that
parts of the upper wall will need to be replaced /reinforced in order to
structurally support the new roof.
