SUBJECT: CONTRACT RENEWAL WITH ALIGHT SOLUTIONS FOR EMPLOYEE
HEALTH ADVOCATE SERVICES
RECOMMENDATION: City Council to consider the renewal of a contract for employee health
advocate services with Alight Solutions.
FUNDING SOURCE: Funds are available in General Fund (Risk Management) in the estimated
annual amount of$35,000.
BACKGROUND: The City of Grapevine provides a patient advocate and concierge service
to all benefit eligible employees. This service is provided through Alight
Solutions. Alight provides a designated Health Pro to the City's employees
to assist them with finding providers, comparing prices for services to find
the most cost-effective options, coverage reviews, scheduling
appointments, and resolving billing issues. Based on the most recent
utilization report from Alight Solutions, City employees' average annual
savings per engaging household is $1,311.
City staff reviewed proposals and determined Alight would provide the
best service and pricing for the City's needs. The City has been using
Alight Solutions since 2020. This is a one-year contract.
