GRAPEVINE, TEXAS AS HEREINAFTER (�ESCR[BEd;
PROVlD1NG A SEVERABILITY CfJ-�USE; DEkC1JX .-
EMERGENCY AND PROVEDING AN EFFECT[VE DATE
WHEREAS, the property owners of Lot 19, Block 4, Shadow Glen Addition, Phase
„
2B, recorded in Vaf�me 388-'i92, Page 33, Plat Records of Tarrant County, Texas, the
� proper�y cantaining a ftfteen foot (15') utility easement, more specifically described in
Exhibits "A" and "B" attached hereto and incorporated herein for all �urposes, has
requested the utility easement, as herein after described be abandoned and vacated; and
WHEREAS, the utility easement is not needed for public use and 4vi11 not be needed
in the future for public use; and
� WHEREAS, abandnning and vacating the said utility easement wil( relieve the City
of Grapevine, Texas from the cost ancf expense of maintaining said property.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDA[NED BY THE CiTY COUNCiL QF THE CITY OF'

GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1. That all matters stated in #he preamble of this ordinance are true and
correct and are hereby incorporated into the body of this ordinance as if copied in their
�I•. entirety.
Section 2. That the uti[ity easement lacated within #he property described in
Exhibit"A", aftached her�to and incorporated herein for all purposes, is hereby abandoned
and vacated for pUblic use and the same is hereby abandoned and vacated insofar as all
public right, titie, interest in and to saia utiEity easement is concerned.
Section 3. That the terrrts and provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed to be
severable, and that if the validity af any section, subsection, ward, sentence or phrass shall
be held to be invalid, it shall not affect the remaining part of this ordinance.
Section 4. The fact that the utility easement is no longer needed by the pub[ic for
public usage and would create a hardship or burden upan the City a#Gra�evine to keep
open and maintain such utifity easement creates an urgency and an emergency for the
immediate preservation of the public health, safetyr, and general welfare which requires that
this ordinance shall taEce effect immediately fram and after its passage and it is accordingfy
so ardained.
