BACKGROUND:
An issue that still remains a high priority for the City of Grapevine is the planned access
from SH 114 to FM 1709. Discussions have begun regarding the possibility of a direct
connect / interchange that would eliminate the use of the existing intersections and
frontage roads for access to and from the controlled highway.
Staff has requested Turner Collie and Braden to submit a proposal for support services
and analysis of anticipated proposals from TxDOT and Southlake to insure that no
negative impacts result for the City of Grapevine.
Staff has also included a general services element in the proposal for other assistance in
the development of the funnel project as the need arises.
Staff Recommends Approval.
