The City of Grapevine Parks & Recreation Advisory Board met August 15, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. at the Bessie
Mitchell House located at 411 Ball Street in Grapevine, Texas with the following members present, to -wit:

Christian Ross called the meeting to order at 6:02 p.m. A moment of silence was observed followed by the
invocation led by Christian.

A motion was made to approve the July 18, 2024 meeting minutes.

The following youth association annual reports were presented by representatives from each organization:
Mustang Panther Football and Cheer

Grapevine Southlake Soccer Association
Grapevine Baseball & Softball
GCISD Student Liaison Uppdate
Avery Gaudett provided a GHS student update. Updates included the Mustang Round Up, volleyball season
beginning, Grapevine versus Frisco football, Senior Sunrise, and the first day of school.
Audrey Torres was absent, therefore; no student update for CHHS was provided.
GCISD Board Liaison
Kathy Spradley provided a GCISD Board update. Updates included the start of the fall semester, the district's
new student cell phone policy, Mustang Panther Stadium use for senior portraits, and Chicken N Pickle
convocation night.
Citv Council
Paul Slechta provided a City Council update. Updates included the Council Budget Workshop and tax rate
decreases.
Parks and Recreation Updates
Trent Kelley provided a Grapevine Parks and Recreation update. Updates included Mustang State Champions,
Phase II Workshop of The REC Performance Utilization Analysis, Go Grapevine Magazine, and the CAPRA
reaccreditation.
Chris Smith provided a Grapevine Parks and Recreation update. Updates included flood recovery efforts, Dove
Boat Ramp parking lot resurfacing, The Vineyard Campground and Cabins, Dove Creek Day Camp,
Meadowmere Building project, and the Master Plan.
