HONORABLE MAYOR AND MEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL
ROGER NELSON, CITY MANAGER;*/
SEPTEMBER 4, 2001
APPROVAL OF A RESOLUTION FOR THE SALE OF SURPLUS
PROPERTY
City Council to consider a resolution declaring the attached listed property surplus
and/or salvage and to authorize sale of these items through sealed bid or public auction.
BACKGROUND:
The City has ordered and/or received all of its fleet replacements authorized by Council
for the fiscal year. Exhibit "A" includes fleet vehicles that have been replaced and are no
longer needed for City use based on the City's fleet replacement policy. The
replacement policy for these vehicles considers age (light duty trucks with 6 years of
service or more), and mileage (80,000 or more). Surplus property will be sold through
either a sealed bid process or through public auction.
Staff recommends the approval of the resolution.
