SUBJECT: PURCHASE OF RECORD MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE
RECOMMENDATION: City Council to consider the purchase of fire record management software
with Locality Media, Inc. for the Fire Department.
FUNDING SOURCE: Funds are available in the General Fund (Fire Department) for an amount
not to exceed $43,520.
BACKGROUND: The Fire Department's current Record Management System (RMS) is
being phased out by the host company. After evaluating other companies
to provide a record management system and to combine other services
into one contract, the department selected First Due to host our RMS,
hydrants, inspection, investigations, permits, and invoicing into one
hosting company. This helps streamline operations because First Due
also hosts our pre-planning module and this will let all of these modules
communicate with one another.
Locality Media, Inc. is the documented sole source support services
provider. This procurement will be made as a sole source in accordance
with Local Government Code Chapter 252, Subchapter B, § 252.022.
