FROM: MATT SINGLETON, DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS
DATE: AUGUST 19, 2008
SUBJECT: IMPACT FEE ADVISORY COMMITTEE SEMI-ANNUAL UPDATE
— PERIOD ENDING 6-19-08
The City adopted new Land Use Assumptions, a new Capital Improvements Plan and
Amended Water and Wastewater Impact Fees on December 19, 2006. These new
assumptions, CIP and fees were prepared by Freese and Nichols, Incorporated.
No new construction projects have been completed in the six month period ending on

The Arlington — Grapevine Road 12" Waterline project will be let with the Euless
Grapevine Roadway project. This project has been delayed pending final agreement
between TxDOT and DFW Airport on access to the airport provided in the DFW
Connector Project.
Staff anticipates the roadway project being released to bid by the City in late Fall 2008.
The City Council approved a contract with Chang, Patel & Yerby on December 4, 2007
for the design of the relocation of the 12" waterline in SH 26 between Pool Road and SH
114. A portion of this project will include the construction of the SH 26 12" waterline
identified in the Capital Improvements Plan. The design for this project continues in
conjunction with TxDOT plan finalization, right of way acquisition and utility relocation
and coordination.
