City Council consider approving a Traffic Impact Study Contract with Teague, Nall &
Perkins in the amount of $19,300.00 for ramp connections from SH 121 southbound
service road (William D. Tate Avenue) to SH 360 and SH 121, a contingency in the
amount of $7,500.00, authorize staff to execute said contract and take any necessary
action.

Staff has requested Teague, Nall & Perkins to provide a proposal for Traffic Engineering
Services to project the impacts to the SH 121 southbound service road traffic volumes
with ramps to SH 360 and to SH 121 in place.
The study will project volumes for each of the two proposed ramps based on actual 2013
traffic counts and on 2023 projected traffic volumes.
Additionally, the study will evaluate impacts and operations of the Stone Myers Parkway
intersection with the southbound service road assuming the SH 360 Ramp and the
SH121 ramp are in place.
The results of the study will provide us the data needed to support our request for the
funding and the construction of the two ramps to relieve the current operational
problems at the southbound Hall Johnson Road exit ramp from SH 121 and at the Stone
Myers Parkway intersection.
Staff recommends approval.
