This letter confirms on September 23, 2024 the Historic Preservation Staff approved with
conditions #CA24-54(A) for the property addressed 334 South Barton Street, legally
described as Block 2, Lot 9R, City of Grapevine to the Grapevine Historic Preservation
Ordinance 91-73 (Appendix G — Grapevine Code of Ordinances), as amended, for the
following:
1. Remove existing fence and in the same location install a new fence around the
property to include corrugated sheet metal panels, metal framing and thick rigid
woven mesh panel;
as per the attached plan and fence elevation drawings with the conditions a permit be
obtained from the Building Services Department.
An approved Certificate of Appropriateness is not an approved building permit; a
building permif is/ is not required. Contact the City of Grapevine's Building
Department at 8 7.410.3165 for fees and information regarding permits.

It has taken us some time to regroup after our last submission for fencing was denied. Thank you for your
patience.
Attached are new elevations for fencing, based on ideas shared at the meeting we had with you, PW, Bruno, and
Erica on Thursday, July 18, 2024. I think you will see it is perfectly in keeping with what we proposed that day.
A few notes:
• The red indicates where we see ourselves using the more grated -style fencing; a place where visitors can
hang a community lock. The rest will be corrugated metal, as indicated.
• The attached photographs are merely other examples of square posts in downtown Grapevine and even
running along Barton Street.
