Home My WebLink AboutItem 15 - Adopt-A-Trail � �� .�:__..��.�� MEMO TO: HONORABLE MAYOR AND MEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL FROM: BRUNO RUMBELOW, CITY MANAGER ��v MEETING DATE: JUNE 23, 2008 SUBJECT: ADOPT-A-TRAIL PROGRAM RECOMMENDATION: The Parks & Recreation Advisory Board and staff recommend the City Council consider approval of Adopt-A-Trail agreement with North Orthopedics and Sports Medicine for the section of the Cottonbelt Trail, from Kimball Road to Mustang Drive. The Parks & Recreation Advisory Board approved the agreement at the May 15, 2008 meeting. A copy of the agreement is attached for review. FUNDING SOURCE: Adopt-A-Road signage would be placed at both ends of the project area for the program. The cost of the signage is approximately $150 and would come from the Grounds Maintenance Account 100-42205-312-3. BACKGROUND: The proposed agreement is for a period of two years and requires the applicant to pick up litter a minimum of six times per year.
