Helical Pier Pool foundation Analysis

proposed pool to support the perimeter vertical wall foundation. The main reason helical piers
were chosen over poured concrete piers or driven piles is because they distribute the foundation
load instead of concentrating in on just one bearing point.
Secondly, the pool coping is located two (2) feet away from the 8"A" comer post supporting the
covered patio structure. By distributing the foundation over a greater surface area, helical piers
are more stable than concrete piers or piles and less likely to adversely affect the patio structural

Sheet t.104 shows aseries of twelve (12) helical piers spaced equally around the perimeter of the
proposed pool to support the perimeter vertical wall foundation. The main reason helical piers
were chosen over poured concrete piers or driven piles is because they distribute the foundation
load instead of concentrating in on just one bearing point.
Secondly, the pool coping is located two (2) feet away from the 8"x8" comer post supporting the
