public may address the Parks & Recreation Advisory Board regarding an item on
the agenda either before or during the Board's consideration of the item, upon
being recognized by the Chairman or upon the consent of the Parks & Recreation
Advisory Board in accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, the Parks &
Recreation Advisory Board is restricted in discussing or taking action during Citizen
Comments.

The City of Grapevine Parks&Recreation Advisory Board met November21,2024 at 6:00 p.m. at The Vine Arts
& Events Center located at 225 W Worth in Grapevine, Texas with the following members present, to-wit:

Constituting a quorum with the following members of City staff.

Christian Ross called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. A moment of silence was observed followed by the
invocation led by Christian.
Approval of Minutes
A motion was made to approve the October 17, 2024 meeting minutes.

New Business
Christian Ross led a discussion regarding the need for a December Grapevine Parks and Recreation Advisory
Board meeting.
A motion was made to cancel the December Grapevine Parks and Recreation Advisory Board meeting.

Presentation
Erin Burke and Randy Sell presented a Christmas season update to the board, which included information on
the Main Street decor updates, Carol of Lights, and Drone Shows.
GCISD Student Liaison Update
Avery Gaudett was absent, therefore; no student update for GHS was provided.
Audrey Torres provided a CHHS student update. Updates included the win of the rivalry game as season updates
for volleyball, football, cheerleading, drill team, baseball, track, and student involvement in Carol of Light via
volunteerism and drill team performances.
GCISD Board Liaison
Kathy Spradley provided a GCISD update. Updates included the passing of VATRE, the Collegiate Academy
was recognized as a Texas Blue Ribbon School, Thanksgiving Break, Leadership GCISD,and the Parks and
Recreation Department's helped to provide a location for the Collegiate Academy students to practice soccer.
City Council
Paul Slechta provided a City Council update. Updates included Council's tour of Settlers Park Phase I and the
approval of the Crossroads Hotel.
Parks and Recreation Updates
Trent Kelley provided a Grapevine Parks and Recreation update. Updates included the implementation of short-
term items for The REC Performance Utilization Analysis as well as an update of Workshop 4.Additionally, Trent
updated the bpard on the pkn for the Hall Johnson Road landscape beds.

provided a Grai4nerks and Recreation update. Updates included Settlers Park Phase I nearing
eIeycompletion, landscape completions at the golf course, Christmas decor prospecting in Savannah, Georgia, and
the Department hosted the Outdoor Hospitality Industry Executive Board Conference.
