SUBJECT: RENEWAL OF AN ANNUAL CONTRACT FOR PRE-EMPLOYEMENT
BACKGROUND SCREENINGS
RECOMMENDATION: City Council to consider approval for the renewal of an annual contract for
pre-employment background screenings with Touch Them All, Inc. (DBA
First Check Applicant Screening) for the Human Resources Department.
FUNDING SOURCE: Funds are available in the General Fund (Various Departments) for annual
estimated amount of$25,000.
BACKGROUND: The purpose of this contract is to establish fixed annual pricing for pre-
employment background screenings. The City has used First Check
Applicant Screening for pre-employment background screenings since
2017.
The City secured proposals from First Check Applicant Screening, Chane
Solutions, and S2Verify. First Check Applicant Screening came back with
the best pricing for pre-employment background screenings. City staff
reviewed the proposals and determined that First Check Applicant
Screening would provide the best service and pricing for meeting the
needs of the City.
Staff recommends approval.
