Sampling Method: Point elevations were measured at regular 12-inch intervals along
straight lines up to 98 feet in length. The elevation differences between
all adjacent reading points, the arithmetic differences between all
adjacent 12-inch elevation differences, and the elevation differences
between all points separated 10 feet were then calculated. Estimates of
the floor’s flatness and levelness F-Numbers (Ff & Fl) were obtained
through a statistical analysis of these calculated profile values.
