SUBJECT: PURCHASE OF REPLACEMENT FURNITURE FOR DOVE
WATERPARK AND DOVE SPRAYGROUND
RECOMMENDATION: City Council to consider the approval for the purchase of replacement
furniture for Dove Waterpark and Dove Sprayground from Telescope
Casual Furniture Inc. for the Parks and Recreation Department.
FUNDING SOURCE: Funds are available in the Permanent Capital Maintenance Fund
(Aquatics Repairs and Replacement) for an amount not to exceed
$78,318.70.
BACKGROUND: Dove Waterpark and Dove Sprayground serve over 50,000 users each
summer. Due to the normal wear and tear on the outdoor furniture, it is
time for a full replacement of these items.
Replacing this furniture will ensure that our guests continue to have a
comfortable and enjoyable experience at the park, and it will help maintain
the overall appearance and function of our facilities.
Three bids were secured for this project.
Telescope Casual Furniture Inc.- $78,318.70
Two Kings Hospitality- $109,816.01
Lamb Hospitality LLC.- $115,617.94
Staff recommends approval.
