Call to Order II. Invocation III. Citizen Comments Any person who is not scheduled on the agenda may address the Senior Citizen Advisory Board under Citizen Comments or on any other agenda item by completing a Citizen Appearance Request form with the staff. A member of the public may address the Senior Citizen Advisory Board regarding an item on the agenda either before or during the Board's consideration of the item, upon being recognized by the Chairman or upon the consent of the Senior Citizen Advisory Board in accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, the Senior Citizen Advisory Board is restricted in discussing or taking action during Citizen Comments. IV. Approve minutes from the October 1, 2024 meeting. V. Chris Smith provided the invocation. Citizen Comments: None Approval of Minutes: A motion was made to approve the October 1, 2024 minutes. Motion: Dale Second: Boyd Ayes: 5-0 Nays: None Absent: Gatts, Ramsey Presentations and Updates: Megan Varner provided an Active Adults update, which included Lunch Bunch plans, field trips, upcoming Tax Aide appointments, and the Active Adult Valentine's Dance. Jennifer Kashner provided a Recreation update, which included The REC Winter Camp dates and Summer Camp registration dates. Trent Kelley provided a Grapevine Parks and Recreation staffing update, which included Scott Hardeman's retirement after 30 years of service, Jennifer Kashner was promoted from The REC General Manager to Recreation Manager, and Andrea Tredaway is now the Athletics and Hospitality Manager. Chris Smith presented the Grapevine Parks and Recreation 2024 Recap Video and provided additional updates following the conclusion of the video. Miscellaneous: Duff O'Dell was absent; therefore, no Council update was provided. Bonnie McHugh provided a Grapevine Housing Authority update, which included 18 Grapevine residents are currently on the waitlist for housing. Gena Bohl provided a GRACE update, which included food deliveries to senior clients, recent home visits completed, and 90 clients received Christmas gift deliveries. Isabelle Boyd provided an Active Adult Laision update, which included recognition of staff and the Department for a successful Active Adult Christmas Party and Senior Choir performances. Trent Kelley provided a Grapevine Parks and Recreation update. Updates included Stewart Hall chair replacement plans and The REC Performance Utilization Analysis will be taking design concepts to council early this year. Chris Smith provided a Grapevine Parks and Recreation update, which included a Carol of Lights and Drone Show event recap, the construction of the Meadowmere Park Education Pavilion, the completion of Settlers Park Phase I with the transition into Settlers Park Phase II, The Vineyards Campground and Cabins Expansion Analysis, and the 2025 Master Plan. Carey Miller noted that the annual Empowering Seniors Expo will take place on Thursday, October 2 with more details to come. Adiourn: A motion was made to adjourn the meeting at 1:42pm.
