A Lime Series test using ASTM D-4318 Method B was performed on a single sample obtained from the
building pad area.
Based on visual observation of the exposed building pad and results of the above described lime series, it
is recommended the building pad cap be mechanically lime stabilized with a minimum 6% hydrated lime.
Based on a dry unit soil weight of 100pcf, this percent equates to:
27 lbs. of hydrated lime per square yard for 6” thick compacted thickness.
