Kathy Nelson from Grapevine Parks & Recreation Department presented an update on Settlers Park and Kathy
and Chris Smith answered questions.

Avery Gaudett, student liaison from Grapevine High School, reported that Prom went great last weekend at the
Zoo and that the it Soccer team made it to the semifinals. Eight Track athletes are competing at Regionals
Friday, April 18 and Saturday, April 19. Both the Baseball team and Softball team are heading to Play-offs next
week, The Girls Golf team qualified for State.
No update from CHHS.
Kathy Spradley, Grapevine-Colleyville ISD Board Liaison, was absent and the following highlights were shared
by Christian Ross. GCISD third annual Walk a Mile was held Tuesday, April 15 at Mustang Panther Stadium,
the weather was wonderful and had great attendance. Grapevine High School held their Prom last weekend at
the Zoo, attendees had a great time and got to feed the giraffes! Colleyville Heritage High School will host their
Prom soon at the Perot Museum in Dallas, Friday, April 18 is a student/teacher holiday. Grapevine Chamber of
Commerce and Colleyville Chamber of Commerce will host the GCISD Employee oft Year Luncheon on
Thursday, April 24. Next week the second class of Leadership GCISD is graduating, if anyone is interested in
signing up fort Fall session, contact at Spradley to apply.

Paul SI hta reported that early voting starts next week fart City Council and School Board. Main Street Fest
is coming up in May. Leadership GCISD is a great opportunity and program. The City Council is very excited
about the development of Settlers Park.

Trent Kelley reported that the Grapevine Parks and Recreation Department hosted 56 attendees for"Rec Camp,"
an annual event organized by Barker Rinker .Seacat Architecture, a design firm renowned for its work in
community recreation center design. Participants from nine states were welcomed to Grapevine, where they
toured a variety of state-of-the-art recreation centers across the DEW metroplex. REC Membership Appreciation
Day will be held on Monday, April 28. This year's theme is"Safari." Staff will provide breakfast, lunch, and dinner,
aIon g with free family-friendly activities and fitness classes, and there will be exotic animals to see. The Oak
Grove Umpire Al Assist will be used in live games starting in May, Grapevine will host the NCCAA Girl's World
Series from May 19 to 21. Additionally, the "Litter Ends with Us" event is scheduled for Monday, it 21, during
is full-time staff will pick up litter that was left over from the Easter holiday.
Chris Smith reported that Berry, Dunn, McNeil, & Parker, LLC (dba BerryDunn)was chosen for the development
oft Parks and Recreation Open Space Master Plan, The new Meadowmere building, now known as the
"Meadowmere Adventure Center on Grapevine Lake," is nearing completion. There are plans to construct a
temporary parking lot with approximately 30 to 50 spaces near the soccer fields, specifically adjacent to Fields
1 and 2. The CAPRA review team is scheduled to visit from June 16 to June 20. Staff members have started
moving into the newly renovated Service Center that was impacted by a tornado three years ago. The new dock
at Meadowmere Park is now open for public use.

Robertson commented that Opening Day was well done this year. The Annual celebration at the Animal Service
Center was a success and attendance was high last weekend and that the new dock at Meadowmere Park is
nice.
Townsend commented that the Grapevine You Professional's Spooky Soiree will benefit four non-profit
causes, one of the in Keep Grapevine Beautiful.
Cowans reported that the Grapevine High School's Fillies Dance Team won Nationals two years in a row!
