HomeMy WebLinkAboutItem 09 - AC HotelMEETING DATE: MAY 20, 2025 SUBJECT: REQUEST TO TABLE CONDITIONAL USE APPLICATION CU25- 16; AC Hotel RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends the City Council and the Planning and Zoning Commission accept the applicant's request to table conditional use application CU25-16 to the June 17, 2025 meeting, and take any other necessary action. BACKGROUND: Conditional use permit CU25-16 is a request allow the possession, storage, retail sales of on- and off- premise consumption of alcoholic beverages (beer, wine and mixed beverages) and outdoor speakers in conjunction with one, five -story hotel with 200 rooms, and to exceed the maximum building height of 50 feet in a "CC", Community Commercial District. The applicant is requesting to table to a date certain so that ownership will be able to attend the public hearing. See the attached letter. /em CU25-16 REQUEST TO TABLE CU25-16; AC Hotel I SUPREME BRIGHT GRAPEVINE IX, LLC I May 19, 2025 RE: Conditional Use Permit Application: 25-16 To Whom it may concern, We regret to inform you that ownership — Supreme Bright Grapevine IX, will be unable to attend the upcoming City Council meeting regarding the conditional use permit (CU25-16) for the AC Hotel by Marriott due to an unforeseen scheduling conflict. Ownership representative is out of town due to an emergency. Given the circumstances, we respectfully request a continuance of this agenda item to the next scheduled council meeting.
