2. Any person who is not scheduled on the agenda may address the Animal Shelter Advisory
Committee under Citizen Comments by completing a Citizen Appearance Request form. In
accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, the Committee is restricted in discussing or taking
action during Citizen Comments.
NEW BUSINESS
3. Consider the minutes of the August 19, 2015 Animal Shelter Advisory Committee meeting and take
any necessary action.
4. Review of shelter statistics for the quarter and fiscal year 2015.
5. Discuss upcoming events.
6. Discuss current issues of Animal Services and Shelter.
7. City of Grapevine Animal Services emergency response planning.
Set dates for 2016 meetings.
Committee tour animal shelter.

The Animal Shelter Advisory Committee of the City of Grapevine, Texas met in Regular Session on the 2nd
day of December, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. in the Training Room of Grapevine Police Department, 307 W. Dallas
Rd., Grapevine, Texas 76051, with the following members present to -wit:
Lt, Ronald Hudson Chair, Grapevine Police Department
Joy Mayo Member, Grapevine Citizen
Nancy Snyder Member, Grapevine Citizen
Dr. Jason Steinle Member, Veterinarian
Kristina Valentine Member, Grapevine Animal Services
Loretta Widmann Member, Animal Welfare Representative
constituting a quorum, with the following liaison present:
Duff O'Dell, Grapevine City Council
CALL TO ORDER
Ronald Hudson called the meeting to order at 1:01 p.m.
ITEM LOATH OF OFFICE
Lt. Larry Hallmark was appointed to the Committee by City Council. Lt. Hallmark will replace Lt. Hudson's
position on the Committee. No Oath of Office was given at this time.
ITEM 2. CITIZEN COMMENTS
No citizen comments.
ITEM 3. CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES
The Committee was provided a copy of the August 19, 2015 meeting minutes. Jason Steinle made a motion
to approve the minutes, and Joy Mayo, seconded, Motion prevailed by the following vote:
Ayes: Hudson, Mayo, Snyder, Steinle, Valentine, Widmann
Nays: None

ITEM 6. DISCUSS CURRENT ISSUES
The committee discussed the following items:
• Facebook count of "likes" is 2,667
• Soundproofing has been ordered and will be installed by February
• Fencing for outdoor kennels is being reviewed
• Needs Assessment—firm to produce is in the process of selection

ITEM 7. Grapevine Animal Services Disaster Planning
• Liz Dimmick, Emergency Response Coordinator, spoke to the group about developing a plan for
the animal shelter
• It is important to have continuity to serve our animal and human citizens
• Tarrant County is developing an animal response plan
® Liz and Kristina will work to have a preliminary plan by the next advisory meeting
ITEM & 2016 Animal Shelter Advisory Committee Meeting Dates
The following dates were selected to meet:
• Wednesday, March 30 at 1 p.m,
• Wednesday, June 15 at 1 p.m.
• Wednesday, September 14 at 1 p.m.
• Wednesday, December 7 at 1 p.m.
The location of the meetings is to be determined.
ITEM 9. Tour of Shelter
The committee toured Grapevine Animal Shelter.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to come before the Committee, Nancy Snyder offered a motion to adjourn
the meeting at 2:43 p.m. and Ronald Hudson seconded. Motion prevailed by the following vote:.
Ayes: Hudson, Mayo, Snyder, Steinle, Valentine, and Widmann
Nays: None
