RecqgflA!2n_2L§qpt!9,e Chris Smith and Trent Kelley expressed gratitude to City Council liaison Paul Slechta, to with 1 memberse Townsend and Amond Cowans, as well as student liaisons Avery Gaudeft and Audrey Torres for their dedicated time and service to the board. Trent introduced Arianna Suchthe new Event Production Manager. Arianna addressed the board and introduced herself and her prior experience. Presentation Claire Gilbert introduced herself to the board and presented the annual marketing report touching on traffic trends, performance data regarding the website and all the social media channels, and key improvements and strategic goals for the rest of 2025 and year of 2026. GCISD Student Liaison Avery Gaudeft, student liaison from Grapevine High School, was absent and Natasha Gale updated on her behalf. Grapevine Varsity Boys Baseball won the 5A Division 2 StateChampionship. Audrey Torres, student liaison from CHHS, was absent and Natasha Gale updated the board on her behalf. The Class of 2025 seniors celebrated an incredible graduation. Although the baseball team concluded their season with a hard-fought game, they unfortunately did not make the playoffs. Preparations for the - 06 school year are underway with successful tryouts for dance and cheer. Additionally, the Leadership and PALS programs are preparing for Cat Camp this summer which is a key event designed to welcome and support incoming freshmen as they begin their Journey at CHHS. Kathy Srl , Grapevine-Colleyville ISD Board Liaison, provided the following updates. The district offices will be closed during the week of July 4th for summer break. With students away, extensive construction and repairs will be taking place at various campuses and the Swim Center. The Human Resources staff are currently busy conducting new hire orientations each week. Additionally, the GHS Baseball team has won their second consecutive championship, while the GHS girls' softball team had n impressive season, finishing semi-finalists in the 5A Division. Registration for Leadership Grapevine-Colleyville ISD is currently open and is about halfway full.The Walk of Honor has announced this year's inductees: Walt Milner and Joe Deupree. Lastly, summer meals (breakfast and lunch) are available at Timberline Elementary for children aged 18 and younger until July 28. It i , Paul Slechta reported that City Council are conducting interviews for boards and commissions. At the last joint City Council and Planning and Zoning public hearing, a couple of new restaurants, Dutch and Stella, were approved, along with Floor and D6cor. Additionally, a new hotel adjacent to Settlers Park was also approved. Parkscr i s Trent Kelley reported that Tony Steele retired last week, and Kurt Hardin will be stepping into the role of Parks Manager. The Travel World Series wrapped up even-aged divisions on Wednesday at Oak Grove, and the odd-aged divisions will start tomorrow. Last week, we hosted BerryDunn at our quarterly staff development meeting to launch our Open Space Master Plan. BerryDunn facilitated brainstorming activities with the Parks and Recreation staff o gather their feedback. Additionally, they participated in several pop-up events within the community. Chris Smith reported that the Parks and Recreation Department submitted budget proposals and held meeting with the City Manager and Chief Financial Officer to discuss future projects related to The 2 REC Phase 2. The CAPRA review team has been on-site all week, reviewing 154 standards and conducting site visits. The team was impressed wit The Parks and Rec 's efforts and actively engaged with us throughout the review process. Robertson asked howthe CAPRA team reviews the 154 standards and howthey are assessed while -site. Christian Ross adjourned the meeting .
