ITEM 1— SWEARING IN NEW MEMBERS
Louis Capone, the new Golf Advisory member was sworn in by Michelle Isbell and was given
his Board booklet.
ITEM 2- GRAPEVINE GOLF COURSE WEBSITE OVERVIEW
Russell Pulley gave an update of the Grapevine Golf Course Website. He stated we are still
working on adding new things. We now have more merchandise online for purchase and more
items are added periodically. It now allows golfers to sign up online for tournaments that the golf
course sponsors. It has a calendar that shows when tournaments are booked. Customers can
request information on having a tournament and for information regarding our facility.
ITEM 3 — GRAPEFEST GOLF TOURNAMENT
John Springer, Chairman for the golf tournament, stated the cost of the tournament would be
$100 per player and there would be 3 golfers to a team. The beneficiary this year will be
CONNECT. CONNECT is an organization that helps feed over 2,000 children in the area. The
tournament will be held Monday September 10, 2012. Russell Pulley stated that he would be
putting a team in for the event and that every board member should have a team in the
tournament.
ITEM 4 — GRAPEFEST BOOTH
Shelley Ruddick and Tom Kormondy will Co -Chair the Grapefest Booth. Shelley stated that
there are still 15 time slots that need to be filled for the Grapefest booth. Mike Lease had talked
with Southwest Greens and they are to get back to him to finalize the details.
ITEM 4— CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS
Russell Pulley reported that the Grapevine Club Championship will be held August 4 & 5, 2012.
The Junior Club Championship is Tuesday August 7, 2012. He stated that we have a new
sponsor this year and it is First Financial Bank. They will be doing the cooking of the
hamburgers and hotdogs. The Senior Club Championship will be held October 6 & 7, 2012
ITEM 5- GOLF 2.0 UPDATE
Russell reported on the Golf 2.0 which gets golfers back into the game. There are many reasons
why people get away from golf, family, work and many others. Golf 2.0 is a way to encourage
there to come back out and get back into the game.
ITEM 6- UPDATE FROM MERLIN TIELKEMEIER ON THE COURSE
MAINTENANCE
Merlin Tielkemeier updated the Board on the maintenance that is being done on the course. He
stated that the past three months have been uneventful. There was an irrigation problem for
about 10 days this summer. There are plans to change how the aerifying is being done and a
change in the fertilizing program. The verticutting will be done twice a year and the aerifying
will be done in August. There will be planting of bluebonnets on the course. The ponds, because
they are so shallow, it is hard to keep the algae out. "Doughnuts" have been placed in the water
to kill the West Nile mosquitoes.

ADJOURNMENT The motion to adjourn was made by Gary Davis and a second was made by
