Consider approval of the minutes of the April 16, 2015 meeting and take any necessary action.

The Golf Course Advisory Board of the City of Grapevine,Texas met in regular session on this
16th day of July 2015 at 5:00 p.m. at the Grapevine Golf Course, 3800 Fairway Drive, with the
following members present:
Gary Davis Member
Louis Capone Member
Danny Langley Member
Tom Kormondy Member
John Springer Member
Shelley Ruddick Member
Jonathan Wall Member
Constituting a quorum, with the following members of the City Staff:
Russell Pulley Director of Golf
John McGrane Director of Administrative Services
Mike Lease City Council Member
Robert Singletary Head Golf Professional
Merlin Tielkemeier Superintendent
CALL TO ORDER
Danny Langley called the meeting to order at 5:06 p.m.
CITIZEN COMMENTS
There were no citizen comments.
ITEM 1 —SUMMARY OF OPERATIONS
Russell Pulley gave his Executive Summary Report on Golf Operations.
ITEM 2—FIELD TRIP SURVEYING FLOOD IMPACT ON COURSE
Russell Pulley, Merlin Tielkemeier&Robert Singletary took the Advisory Board on a field trip
to see the aftermath of the flood damage.
ITEM 3—FLOOD UPDATE
Russell Pulley reported on the current status of the golf course and the plans to continue with
Pecan adding Bluebonnet to the mix when the temporary crossing gets put in place. This crossing
will serve for both Bluebonnet and Mockingbird. Mockingbird will be added to the rotation
when it gets a little further along in the recovery process.
ITEM 4—RATE INCREASE/SURVEY
Russell Pulley and Robert Singletary introduce the proposed rate increase based on their survey
of 26 facilities to be presented to Council for the 2015-2015 Budget. The board had no
objections to the increase.
ITEM 5—GOLF COURSE MAINTENANCE REPORT
Merlin outlined his plan to tackle the silt issue on the course as well as his priority and focus on
getting the golf course back to its playing conditions as soon as possible.
CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES
Tom Kormondy made the motion to approve the July 16, 2015 minutes and was seconded by
Gary Davis.
ADJOURNMENT The motion to adjourn was made by Shelley Ruddick and seconded by Tom
Kormondy.
