Dunaway has reviewed the sketch and the foundation repair system proposed for the
subject location. In our opinion, the proposed foundation repair should minimize foundation
settlement at the subject location provided proper installation techniques are used which
includes the manufacturer's recommendations, specifications for pre -cast concrete
segmental pilings which can be found at www . f o u nck) tic) n nerf orma nc e.orq, industry
standards, and proper foundation maintenance is performed and in accordance with 2021
IBC. A foundation maintenance program can be obtained at the Foundation Performance
Association websife.
The areas that are represented by cross -hatching on the attached sketch are the areas, in
our opinion, that will be affected by the proposed foundation repair system, provided the
foundation system is of acceptable strength. If the actual strength of the foundation system
is found to be 'inadequate to support the spacing of the piles as shown on the attached
sketch, then additional piles may be required to support the foundation.
