Ho,vv to get a Lot Drainage "GREEN -TAG" for final storm water drainage associated with House, Pool, & Commercial Construction Proiects (September 2007) • STEP I - Ensure your site is properly graded and drains as indicated on the approved plan. • STEP 2 - Stabilize your site and install final cover (grass, stone, landscaping, etc.) or structural BMP's before you call in for a "Final Drainage Inspection." STEP 3 Call & request "Final Drainage Inspection" minimum of 72 hours (3 days) prior to the overall "Final" being requested for the site. Call (817-410-3010) to request inspection. rojects MUST be stabilized through the installation of final cover or BMP's before thev will e approved and a "GREEN -TAG" issued. Final cover shall consist of landscaping to prevent erosion and discharge of sediment from the site. Typically, grass and/or stone landscaping is used as final cover. As an option to final cover. BMP's may be used to prevent erosion and Discharge of sediment from the site. All BMP's must be selected, installed, and maintained in accordance with specifications to ensure proper function. As a general rule. 70% of the site must have final cover. �he Public Works Environmental Services Division (817-410-3333) is responsible for inspecting storm water drainage for lot and pool. The Public Works Engineering Division (817- 010-3143) is responsible for the storm water drainage design and specification', for lot and pool. Environmental Services will conduct a field inspection to compare and evaluate the -as-built- site against the plan and specifications. If the prctiect is not built in accordance %with the plans and specifications it will be denied and "RED -TAGGED." The -RED -TAG- shall serve as a Notice of Violation (NOV) and the Responsible Party shall have 49 hours to address the concerns. A second "Recall" inspection will be conducted after 48 hours or sooner at the request of the Responsible Party. If the site is in compliance a "GREEN -TAG" will be issued and the site will be reieased.%approved. if the site is '`RED -TAGGED" for the second time a written NOV N ill be issued and the Responsible Party «•ill be charged a fee. NN'hat is a BMP? A Best Management Practice (13N1P) is a method or combination of methods used by the builder to manage and prevent unauthorized discharge of storm water.
