A prayer and moment of silence led by Christian Ross. Approval of Minutes A motion was made to approve the October 16, 2025 meeting minutes. Motion: Roy, Member Second: Lavon, Member Ayes: Light, Robertson, Readicker, Fenton, Copeland, Guthrie, Stephens, Ross, McDowell Nays: 0 Abstention: 0 Approved: 9-0-0 Citizen Comments None New Business The following Adopt -An -Area renewal agreements were reviewed: Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center. A motion was made to approve the reviewed Adopt -An -Area agreements. Motion: Roy, Member Second: Robyn, Member Ayes: Light, Robertson, Readicker, Fenton, Copeland, Guthrie, Stephens, Ross, McDowell Nays: 0 Abstention: 0 Approved: 9-0-0 Presentation Kathy Nelson, Planning Manager provided a presentation on the Minnow Loop Redesign. Slides were presented that show the current area and the proposed changes to the area. Questions and discussion took place. A motion was made to move forward and bring these proposed updates to Minnow Loop to City Council. Motion: Stephens, Member Second: Fenton, Member Ayes: Light, Robertson, Readicker, Fenton, Copeland, Guthrie, Stephens, Ross, McDowell Nays: 0 Abstention: 0 Approved: 9-0-0 A discussion took regarding the scheduled December Board Meeting. A motion was made to cancel the December 18, 2025 Parks Advisory Board Meeting. Motion: Readicker, Member Second: Stephens, Member Ayes: Light, Robertson, Readicker, Fenton, Copeland, Guthrie, Stephens, Ross, McDowell Nays: 0 Abstention: 0 Approved: 9-0-0 Chris Smith suggested meeting for lunch at Saltgrass Steakhouse in Grapevine as a thank you from the Grapevine Parks and Recreation Department. Tuesday, December 16 was decided as the date for lunch and this will include the Parks Advisory Board and the Senior Advisory Board. GCISD Student & Board Liaison Update Addison provide an update for CHHS: Nov 1-5 — Red Ribbon Week (already completed) • CHHS observed Red Ribbon Week with themed spirit days, student -led announcements, and awareness activities organized by Student Council. • Best Buddies and StuCo collaborated on hallway displays promoting healthy choices and drug -free lifestyles. Nov 3-7 — Volleyball Postseason Push (already completed) • CHHS Volleyball wrapped up the district season and advanced into early playoff rounds. • Key performers included outside hitter Aubrey Martin, known for consistent attacking, and libero Kaylee Thompson, who anchored the defensive back row with strong passing. Nov 7 — End of District Football Momentum (already completed) • The Panthers closed district play with a 6-2 district record, showing major improvement in defensive 2 coordination and red -zone execution. • Quarterback Bodey Weaver and receiver Lucas Sunwall continued to be standout leaders on offense. Nov 10-12 - FFA "Dig Deep" Leadership & Ag Events (already completed) • FFA members participated in the Dig Deep leadership series, practicing teamwork, speaking skills, and agricultural training at district events. Nov 13 - Theatre Fall Production: "Sleepy Hollow" (already completed) • The CHHS Theatre Department delivered a successful three -night run of Sleepy Hollow, receiving strong reviews for its acting, staging, and technical design. Nov 14 - Football Bi-District Playoff vs Melissa (upcoming tense applied where needed) • CHHS will compete against Melissa in the bi-district playoff round on Friday night. • The Panthers will rely on leaders such as linebacker Jaden Price and running back Eli Navarro, both of whom have been key contributors throughout the season. • This game will determine advancement into the area round of playoffs and will close out one of the program's strongest regular seasons in years. Nov 15-20 - Tennis Recognition & Training (upcoming) • The tennis program will spend mid -November recognizing standout postseason athletes, including Noah Bennett and Sophia Tran, for their Bi-District and Area victories last month. • Players will begin structured off-season training, focusing on doubles strategy, court movement, and conditioning ahead of spring season competitions. Nov 18-22 - NHS & Student Council Service Week (upcoming) • NHS will launch its holiday service initiative, collecting essential items for Grapevine Relief and Community Exchange. • Student Council will roll out Thanks & Giving Week, coordinating participation from multiple clubs to expand campus -wide service involvement. Nov 24-26 - DECA District Prep Week (upcoming) • DECA members will finalize their role-plays, presentations, and written projects ahead of the December District 3 competition. • Early standouts such as Ava Delgado (marketing) and the entrepreneurship team Ryan Lee & Jordan Phillips will complete advisor -reviewed practice rounds to prepare for competitive evaluation. Brynley was absent. Christian Ross provided her update for GHS that was emailed to Megan Holladay in advance: - The Army National Guard offered an event on October 28th where students experienced real -world situations such as earthquakes and floods and how to work together in a crisis. It introduced students to possible career paths such as emergency management, public health, and military service. - Both the Boys and Girls Cross Country did great at State on Halloween! The girls placed 4th and the boys won 1st! - The Fabulous Fillies competed on November 3rd and won 1st in the DFW Texas Dance Educators Association state assessment! - Grapevine High School celebrated Veterans Day on Thursday, November 6th. The day started with a parade around the school honoring our veterans and then we had an assembly with guest speaker and Air Force veteran, Lt. Colonel Gerremy Goldsberry. After the assembly the veterans attended a breakfast/brunch, and walked through the Memorial Garden in the GHS Ecology Center. - GHS theater performed their 24ish-hour play, Death by Dessert on November 8th and hosted a food 3 drive for Grace Food Pantry as their admission. - GHS teacher, Jane Rose was awarded the George Washington Honor Medal, and was recognized at the 54th Founding Forward Annual Accolades Dinner. - Grapevine Volleyball won area, were regional finalists, and placed top 8 in the state, a great finish to an amazing season! - Varsity Cheer is currently in Disney for a Christmas parade they will be performing in on Saturday! - Overall a lot of fun going on at GHS! Teachers and Students are getting ready and are excited for break next week! Then after that, there are just a few more weeks that students are trying to stay on top of until we are halfway through the school year! Kathy Spradley was absent. Christian Ross provided her update that was emailed to Megan Holladay in advance: Thanksgiving break is almost here! Nov 24-28 all campuses and district offices will be closed Exciting Career and technology (CTE) open house titled "The CTE experience" will showcase everything our programs have to offer on Dec 2nd from 5:30-7:30 at GHS. Hands on engaging experiences to give a preview of program offerings and a chance to get all questions answered. Collegiate academy is now accepting applications for both In and out of district families. Collegiate academy students can earn an associates degree or up to two years of college credit while attending high school. Timberline elementary recently hosted its annual "Taste of Timberline" on Nov 15th. Families and community members enjoyed international food, fun and student performances. We are so grateful for the Grapevine Colleyville retired school employees association (GCARSE) for awarding $100 classroom grants to five first year teachers last week. Their support will help our teachers purchase materials and resources for their classrooms. It is so incredibly important to support first year teachers as they begin their careers. The district has launched a portion of our website to house all things regarding potential school consolidations. Please look for the "GC1SD Forward" portion of the website. It's important to note that yesterday afternoon Dr. Schnautz did announce we would be pausing on the pure feeder pattern portion of the Educational master planning committee's recommendation at this time. We will also be hosting a special board meeting Dec 2nd at 6pm in the Grapevine High School auditorium that will include a community presentation. We ask that you submit questions or concerns via the website link on GCISD forward by Dec 1 so that district leadership can best address those during the presentation. The meeting will also be streamed live on the districts You Tube channel for those unable to attend. Citv Council Chris Coy provided a City Council update. Things have slowed down for the season. Land Use and Planning and Zoning is updated every few years and that is something that they are working on updating right now. City Council approved to move forward with REC expansion. Parks and Recreation Updates Chris Smith provided an update for the Parks and Recreation Department. He shared the awards th, department received at the North TRAPS Expo. 4 Carol of Lights is scheduled on Monday, November 24. There was an emergency meeting to discuss weather but the event is rain or shine. The department has received approval from Grapevine City Council to move forward with planning and design work on Phase II of The REC and our team will begin working with BRS to find the company that we want to use for construction. The Parks and Recreation Master Plan is currently in progress and moving into next stage of data collection. There will be two evening sessions scheduled that will be an open invite to the community. Trent Kelley provided an update for the Parks and Recreation Department. City Council approved enhancements on landscaping on William D Tate. Those updates should begin December 1 and be wrapped up prior to Christmas. The department will be presenting to city council for approval needed to replace 4 turf fields at Oak Grove. The last stage of the strength machines will be replaced tomorrow. Adiourn Christian Ross adjourned the meeting at 7:02PM. A motion was made to adjourn the meeting.
