SUBJECT: PURCHASE OF LASER GRADING SERVICES AT OAK GROVE
BASEBALL FIELDS
RECOMMENDATION: City Council to consider approval for the purchase of laser grading
services at Oak Grove Baseball fields from Masterturf Products for the
Parks and Recreation Department.
FUNDING SOURCE: Funds are available in the Permanent Capital Maintenance Fund (Parks)
for an estimated amount of $52,308.
BACKGROUND: This purchase is to provide laser grading services to Oak Grove Baseball
Fields C, D, E, F and G for the purpose of maintaining proper drainage
and safe playing surfaces. These are the five fields that have natural
infields and periodically (every 5 to 7 years) need regrading to maintain
proper drainage flow. This contractor provides this service
This purchase will be made in accordance with an existing interlocal
agreement with The Local Government Purchasing Cooperative (Buy
Board) as allowed by Texas Local Government Code, Chapter 271 and
Texas Government Code, Chapter 791.
Bids were taken by the Cooperative, and a contract was awarded to
Masterturf Products. The Parks and Purchasing staff reviewed the
contract for departmental specification compliance and pricing and
determined that the contract would best meet the needs of the City.
Staff recommends approval
