WHEREAS, the Property Tax Code of the State of Texas requires that central tax
,i .♦jistricts be established in each County of the State; and
TTMEREAS, the governing board of the district is elected by the participating
government subdivisions located within the County; and
WHEREAS, the City Council deems the adoption of this resolution to be in the best
�nterests of the health, safety, and welfare of the public; and
TTMEREAS, all constitutional and statutory prerequisites for the approval of this
resolution have been met, including but not limited to the Open Meetings Act.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1. That all matters stated hereinabove are found to be true and correct
and are incorporated herein by reference as if copied in their entirety.
Section 2. That the Mayor of the City of Grapevine, Texas is hereby authorize
on behalf of the City Council of the City of Grapevine, to cast the City of Grapevine
allocated votes on the official ballot for the appointment of members to the Tarra
Appraisal District Board of Directors. It
Section 3. A substantial copy of the official ballot is attached hereto as "Exhibil
A" and incorporated herein for all intents and purposes.
Section 4. That the City Secretary is hereby directed to forward a certified copy
of this resolution to Mr. Joe Don Bobbitt, Chief Appraiser, Tarrant Appraisal District, 2500
Handley Ederville Road, Fort Worth, TX 76118 or by email at jwooddell@tad,org.
Section 5. That this resolution shall take effect from and after the date of its
adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS on this the 2nd day of December, 2025 by a vote of ayes
