IN ACCORDANCE WITH TEXAS GOVERNMENT CODE, CHAPTER 551.001 et seq, ACTS OF THE 1993 TEXAS LEGISLATURE, THE LIBRARY BOARD MEETING AGENDA WAS PREPARED AND POSTED THIS 13th DAY OF JANUARY, 2026 AT 5 PM. � STATE OF TEXAS COUNTY OF TARRANT CITY OF GRAPEVINE The Library Board of the Grapevine Public Library of the City of Grapevine, Texas met at the Grapevine Public Library in the Regular Session on the 19th day of January at 6:30 pm. The following members present to -wit: Laura Rushing Member Suzanne Matthews Member Sonia Duque-Miyashita Member Lynda Brown Member Jennifer Blake Member Gerald Shannon Board Chair Krishna Shenoy Secretary constituting a quorum with the following members of the City staff: Leigh Kapsos, Library Director and Paul Slechta, City Council Liaison were present. 1. CALL TO ORDE , The Meeting was called to order by Gerald Shannon at 6:30 pm. Seconded by Laura Rushing. 2. CITIZEN COMMENTS No Citizens present. 3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES October minutes were approved. Motion to approve by Suzanne Mathews, seconded by Krishna Shenoy 4. OLD BUSINESS a. Digital Archives - will be ready in May in time for Mayoral Festivities b. Non-resident fees increase from $25 to $50 was approved. 7%-10% of library users are non-resident. Member profiles will be reviewed every year, in keeping with Grapevine Rec policy. 5. NEW BUSINESS a. New self -checkout stations for $7000/each from Lyngsoe LibDECO have been proposed. This was budgeted as a capital request. b. Moving library card sign-up to digital format, called Patron Point. c. TSLAC grants makers space equipment. d. Chad will attend PLA with a grant from the National Library of Medicine. Next Board Meeting The next Board Meeting is scheduled for Monday, January 19, 2026 at 6:30 pm. There was no formal action taken. City Update from Paul • Successful Christmas Capital • City Council spots 6 and 7 up for election. The School Board has 3 spots up for Election. 6. ADJOURNMENT Motion by Krishna Shenoy, seconded by Jennifer Blake to adjourn meeting. Meeting was adjourned at 8:00 pm.
